Beijing Student Fellowship: Social Innovation, Real Change

How can we nurture the next generation of social justice problem-solvers? A new cohort of student fellows from across China is taking on the root causes and potential solutions of complex social and environmental issues.
Nineteen high school students, hailing from 10 cities across China, will form the 2025 cohort of the Fellowship For Change at Columbia Global Center Beijing.
These remarkable fellows, chosen from a deep pool of candidates through a competitive process, have shown they are committed to driving meaningful change in social justice issues. The fellowship will give them the opportunity to learn just how to do that.
Throughout the year-long program, Fellows will be immersed in real-world experiences at in-person learning summits. Topics will include gender and educational equality, supporting mothers in returning to the workforce, environmental justice, cultural heritage preservation, and youth mental health.
Fellows will benefit from a valuable partnership between the Beijing Center and Qi Social Innovation Center.
These 19 Fellows are not only incredible students, but they each have a moving story about how they made a difference to their causes that touched and inspired us.
