Meet the 2026 Columbia Global – Turkish Philanthropy Funds Resilience Fund Initiative Awardees

The Columbia Global – TPF Resilience Fund supports research and action-oriented projects led by Columbia University faculty and researchers in partnership with academic institutions and civil society organizations in Türkiye. By fostering collaboration across sectors and geographies, the Fund aims to generate knowledge, inform practice, and deliver meaningful, on-the-ground impact.

These four exceptional Columbia faculty and researchers will bring their expertise to innovative and interdisciplinary projects that advance disaster resilience in Türkiye, including AI-driven, real-time request tracking for disaster response, building trauma-aware organizations for Istanbul earthquake risk, and digital twin modeling for earthquake preparedness.
